The Aqara Motion and Light Sensor P2 is a next-generation smart home sensor combining both motion detection and ambient light sensing in a compact unit. Designed for seamless integration into modern smart homes, it supports Matter over Thread along with Bluetooth 5.0, enabling broad compatibility and reliable performance. With a wide 170° field of view and detection range of up to 7 m, the sensor can monitor activity in a room or space with precision. The separate light sensor enables automations based not only on movement, but also on daylight or artificial lighting levels—making it ideal for energy-saving routines, lighting scenes or security triggers.
Installation is simple thanks to the compact form factor, adjustable 360° stand and battery-powered design (2 × CR2450). The device works locally—automations can run without cloud dependency—ensuring quicker response and better privacy.
